Our Story
Rawda began with a single question — what would modest dressing look like if it were built like couture: slowly, by hand, and only once?
A garden, in a word
Rawda — رَوْضَة — means a meadow: a green place that keeps its own quiet. The name was chosen before a single garment was cut, and it has governed every decision since. Nothing loud. Nothing disposable. Nothing that asks for attention it has not earned.
The house was founded in Dubai in 2019 by a small team who had spent years in ateliers elsewhere and wanted to build one here — close to the women they were designing for, and close to the light that shapes how the cloth is read.
Cut for the way you move
Modesty at Rawda is a starting point, never a limit. A garment that covers can still be precise, still be sharp at the shoulder, still fall exactly the way it was drawn. We work in silk crêpe, pleated organza, undyed linen and tailored wool — fabrics with weight and memory.
Every silhouette is tested on a body before it is offered. If it does not move well, it does not leave the atelier.
